To practice reflexology, a practitioner applies light pressure to specified zones and points on the feet and hands of the client. Reflexologists believe that these regions and reflex points correlate to various organs and systems in the body, and that by applying pressure to them, a positive impact is created on the organs and a person’s overall health, reducing stress and enhancing the body’s function. Reflexology is also known as zone treatment. .
Foot reflexology is the most common type of reflexology. Stimulating reflex zones in the foot cause a reaction in the associated organs, which promotes healing in that part of the body.
Individuals’ foot reflex zones reflect their total level of tension as a result of a lifetime of stress adaptation. The reflexologist uses stress signals in the foot as a pathway to base their treatment plan. Everywhere pressure appears on a client’s foot, stress and its results have begun to collect in the corresponding body sections.
Reflexology, like acupuncture and acupressure, connects points on the exterior of your body to the inside. However, such therapies use locations on your entire body, not just your feet, hands, and ears.
While reflexologists use their hands, it is not massage. Instead, reflexologists use charts to guide them when applying pressure to specific regions. Massage therapists and physical therapists, among others, may give reflexology in conjunction with other hands-on therapies.
Reflexology, like other therapies, is a complement to medical treatment. It can be used in addition to regular treatment, but it is not a replacement for it, and reflexologists do not diagnose or treat illnesses.
Several studies have found that reflexology can ease pain and psychological symptoms, including anxiety and stress, while promoting relaxation and sleep. Given its low risk, reflexology may be a suitable option if you’re looking for a non-invasive aid for relaxation and stress management.
More research is necessary to see whether reflexology has a direct effect on certain conditions; however, based on what we’ve learned so far, it may help to alleviate the following:
It May Also be Beneficial For:
Each person’s experience with reflexology is unique. During treatment, clients typically feel pretty calm and may even fall asleep. Increased sweating in the hands or feet, elevated emotions, light-headedness, thirst, coughing, and fatigue are all common reactions to reflexology.
When muscle regions that are being stimulated contract, clients may experience some pain. When sensitive reflex points are engaged, it may feel like a bruise, with gentle pressure and warmth in the affected area.
The specialist will ask questions about your health, eating patterns, lifestyle, and medical concerns to ensure reflexology is suitable for you. Your responses will help them in deciding whether they should work on your hands, feet, ears, or a mix of the three. This is also an excellent chance to ask any questions you may have.
Afterward, you will sit in a comfortable chair or recline on a massage table. Clients remain entirely clothed throughout reflexology sessions except for the foot and lower leg.
The reflexologist will first sanitize the feet before activating the reflex points on the hands, feet, and ears that correlate to one side of the body, then go on to the other until the entire body has been treated.
If the specialist detects discomfort, tension, or energetic blockage in any reflex spots, they apply pressure to that location to aid the body’s recovery.
The reflexologist will usually end the session by soothing and grounding the client. Don’t rush back to the present moment; instead, savor your relaxed mood. Following a treatment, it is best to drink some water and relax.

I’ve been going here for 7 months to get waxed by Ana Fisher and if I have one thing to say: PLEASE GO HERE. She is such a delight, very positive and upbeat, likes to converse with you throughout the process, is attentive to how you’re feeling, dedicated to doing her job well, just such an amazing and safe person to go to. The environment is super inviting and clean, very modern, and the appointment system is very smooth and easy to navigate. Ana was the first person I ever went to for my wax and she will continue to be the person I always go to and recommend. 10/10 service and hospitality

I highly recommend! Ana touched up my permanent eye liner on bottom lid, added liner on top lid (which I had previously been told my skin would not take the ink), did my eyebrows and last extensions. I look like a new woman!

I made an appointment for a couple waxing items (modesty has me letting you guess what services). Jenna was just perfect. She was very thorough, exclaiming I was officially “hair free”. Upon inspection I agreed. I’m sold, I’ll go nowhere else for these services.
